Running from my problems

No, I don't normally walk around with ice bags on my knees and a box of food. Or medals. But I wish I could.

Two weeks ago my friends and I did the Country Music Half-Marathon in Nashville. It was a lot of fun and I finally kept a New Years Resolution (which was to get and stay in shape). It was my first half and I was pretty happy with how I did. Right after the race I told myself that I wouldn't run a half-marathon again. Now that two weeks have passed and it no longer hurts to walk, I think I'd run one again. Here are some highlights:

The real marathon: 5 girls, 3 stores, 1 hour, lots of great new things. It was tiring.

All of us in our fabulous tie-dye shirts before the race.

So happy over "free" medals

Candace and I finished together in a time of 2 hours, 10 min.
Little did we know that sprinting that last .1 mile was going to come back to haunt us for 4 days.

We were too tired to go to the concert that night with some no-name star. So we went across the street from our hotel to the Grand Ole Opry.

Some of our friends think this looks like an FLDS family picture, minus the dresses and hair. I have to agree.
