Racing, rain and technology

I ran a half marathon two weekends ago. Even with the rain and the fact that my iPod froze at mile 2.5, I finished a whopping 4 minutes faster than my previous half marathon (which was 2 years ago). I actually enjoyed training for this one. Maybe because the weather cooperated for the most part and I didn't have to run my long runs on a treadmill in the gym. I may just be crazy enough to run another one this fall.

My mom, aunt and grandma came down for the race (although with the rain none of them saw me running or finishing). Afterwards we went out and bought a TV:

I shouldn't love material things so much but I really love this TV right now. And we just got HD.

Congrats on the half marathon!! maybe...just maybe...one day in the far off future I could do that too!

And I'm madly in love with my TV...and the HD too...except it takes up more space in the DVR which sucks!

KW, keep working your way up the running ladder, and maybe one day this could be you!

ps: same thing happened to a runner in 1982 and she pooped her pants. Happy running!
