(A little delayed, but I forgot to post this last week when it happened)
Congrats to Colin Firth on his Golden Globe win for Best Actor
I've loved/admired you since you swam in the lake at Pemberly,
and your role of Mark Darcy in Briget Jones.
I'm glad you are being acknowleged for the wonderful actor you are. About The King's Speech and it's rating. You're putting me in quite a predicament. Maybe I'll go see it if you win the Oscar.

I love Colin. Love him in Love Actually too.
I'm seriously tempted to go see the King's Speech even though it is R. Online it said that the only reason it's R is because it has 13 F-bombs. And, not to justify my bad behavior or anything but I heard at least 13 F-bombs a day when I worked at ARUP. I don't even hardly notice when people say it anymore.
I don't know why they couldn't have just kept it to 3 F-bombs though so it could have been PG-13...dang it!
Also, we can always get it cleanflicked later...that is if we can be patient for it to come out on DVD.
Oh yes, I should go back and include Love Actually. How could I forget that fantastic movie.
I also heard that it is only R because of the swearing. I also hear way more swearing everyday at the hospital than I would in the movie.
Is the movie in Brazil? Because maybe we could sin together. Something crazy is bound to happen when we go see it in a foreign country.
I don't know if it will be in Brazil...we can see. Going to a movie (even a rated R one) is probably the least sinful way we could spend an evening in Brazil during Carnaval. Don't tell my mom though...Oh crap, I think she reads your blog.
It is a historical movie. We're just educating ourselves. How's that for justification?
Pretty good justification Kate. Although I wonder if the King of England really threw out 13 F-bombs in 2 hours way back then...hmmm...maybe not so historical. But maybe...those Brits can be potty mouths. I'll do a little research on the historical accuracy of F-bomb usage in early 20th Century England and will get back to you.
Holy Crappoly, look how many comments your post already has! We should chat via comments again sometime.
The F-bomb isn't as bad to the English as it is to us. So we'll pretend we're English if we go see it.
You naughty, naughty girls!
Just kidding. I want to see it too. Movies are rated a little differently here. Maybe it will be "legal" here.
Love the dialog gals! I love this post, because it reminds me of the good old days when all the "spinsters" would watch Bridget Jones... still have that T-shirt... :) He is lovely isn't he... :)
Yes, Colin is my favorite :p You just can't love him...he has that look both boyish and mature :) Love him! From my point of view all awards go to Colin :D
